Since ancient times it was investigating the brain and you want to know how it works and many of the assumptions that had to have changed such that Aristotle believed that the brain served to cool the blood. currently doing research with the brain and nervous system and which is used by other sciences such as molecular biology, cognitive psychology, biochemistry, computer science, etc.
In the U.S. the nineties was declared as the decade the brain. The aim was to conduct more studies on the relationship between this and the nervous system especially for two purposes: to understand the increase of neurological diseases like Alzheimer's or Parkinson's, and the other know the link of brain development and personal growth .
In education today we know that a student learns best in a warm atmosphere where you are given affection. Emotions drive memory fail because of them as the memories are chemical bases, namely emotions can enhance or hide the learning.
According to brain imaging confirms that we learn best by computer graphics as this information is presented organized and structured, consistent with the brain. Learning occurs in the brain after being captured by the senses, but the brain has some guards that make the kind of filter from achieving total and complete learning. These filters help to discriminate and pay attention to what you really want to learn. If the information is considered important then goes to the amygdala (also considered as affective filter), depending on whether it happens to your brain more. It is known that the amygdala may reject information when under pressure, but if you are motivated to pass the brain will with the help of central dopamine, a neurotransmitter that acts and controls service levels and is activated when the information you just entered is associated with pleasure.
Hence the importance of working in the classroom in a friendly atmosphere and learning that are meaningful to the child. When you feel stress and pressure the brain can block and control information.
When teachers know this can create strategies to help improve the quality of learning in children and adolescents.
